iPads for Chromebook Exchange

We are asking students to come to CMS to exchange their iPads for Chromebooks between 12-2pm OR 4-6pm. If your student is able to return the charging cord brick as well that would be very helpful for our ability to support our new incoming 6th graders as well. We know some may have walked away and understand but we would REALLY appreciate receiving as many back as possible. The Chromebooks are being provided by the CSD high schools and will be the devices students use next year.

Library Book Return

We are asking all 8th grade students return any library and/or textbooks they currently have checked out on Tuesday, June 16th at the iPad for Chromebook Exchange.

Goodie Bags from CPTO

Our CPTO and 8th grade parents have been hard at work creating an opportunity to celebrate our 8th grade students this year since the traditional 8th Grade Party and 8th Grade Breakfast cannot happen. They will have goodie bags for each of the 8th grade students at the iPad for Chromebook Exchange for students to pick up. In addition, they will have a poster for students to sign so we will be able to hang their signatures with their 8th grade class photo in the hallway with the rest of them. The photo will be taken when we are able to in the future.

We will be continuing with our tradition of handing out Awards to our 8th graders this year. The process for this will be different than in years past as we are not able to hold an Awards Ceremony at school. Staff will be creating individual videos for our award winners which will be emailed to students/families. In addition, we will have award certificates and plaques at the iPad for Chromebook Exchange for students to pick up.

This event will follow social distancing guidelines. We will be taking extra steps to keep everyone safe by sanitizing/cleaning on a regular basis as needed throughout the event. We also invite students and families to wear a mask if possible when six feet of distance cannot be maintained.
